The Capresso 464.05 GS grind and brew automatic coffee maker lets you program the amount of coffee you want to grind. The five grind settings are calibrated for grinding drip coffee. Choose the coarser settings for darker, oilier beans. Choose the finer settings for light or medium roasts. Direct feed technology accommodates a more compact design while keeping moisture away from the grinder. This Modem design coffeemaker grinds the programmed amount of beans directly into the filter and then automatically initiates the brewing process.
Grinding the beans just before brewing will maximize the flavor and aroma of your coffee. Conical burr grinders are considered
the best way of grinding beans. The slower grinding speed of the conical burrs creates less heat thus preserving more aroma of
the ground coffee. Following the recommendations below will make your coffee taste better and your machine last longer.
The drip-stop function lets you pull out carafe and serve a cup or two before brewing is finished. the Capresso 464.05 GS has a glass carafe and a warming plate keeps coffee hot for 2 hours, then the warming plate shuts off. Easy to read LCD display with AM/PM clock and auto-on programming. Machine can be used with or without grinder to accommodate pre-ground coffee.

I’m a Top 1000 Reviewer here at Amazon, but haven’t reviewed anything in years — until now. The Capresso 464 compelled me.
First things first. This is not my first grind and brew. My old Melitta Mill & Brew, with its faulty plastic latch long since broken had become a drag. For years I had to put a box of chicken stock on top of the grind chamber to keep it shut so it would work! And while it made pretty good coffee, it seemed to waste grounds by spraying them inside the grinder basket.
